Heya,

We are finalizing location and date for the PQC school. Our proposal is March 11-15, 2024 in Porto (Nice places on the canaries got toooo expensive). This is Monday to Friday and we would expect that people already arrive on Sunday. We cannot move later as RWC is March 25-27 in Toronto with first affiliated events already in the week before. If anything, we could move one week earlier but that would move it closer to the QKD schools.

Porto already has beautiful Spring weather at that time of the year but is not yet totally overcrowded with tourists. Moreover its airport is only 30min by metro from the hotels that we have in mind (we have two offers next to casa di musica, one of them we use twice a year for another international meeting). Also the beach is just ~20min by bus or metro from the hotels (or a 5k run).

Should we ask for feedback or just fix these dates? I think right now it would still be easy to add another day to also accommodate the review.
If we are fine with them, I would go ahead and start contacting speakers soon, so that we can advertise the school in late October / November.
For the speakers, I would try to cover as much as possible from the project team, but we should invite someone from lattices, codes, and MQ (Alex can take cryptanalysis of these but not sure if any of us wants to cover the constructive side of these in a full lecture).
